Withdrawal of CPF Contributions

For non-Singaporean Citizens and non-Permanent Residents, your Central Provident Fund (CPF) account will be closed in the month following the renunciation of your Singapore Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Upon account closure,

a) any remaining savings will stop earning the prevailing CPF interest rate; and

b) your participation in the schemes administered by the CPF Board will be ceased.

Please note that overseas applications and certifications of non-original documents must be witnessed and/or certified by an official at the Consulate-General.  If you are based in Malaysia, you may book an appointment at go.gov.sg/scgjb-appt, and walk-ins are not allowed.


You will have to appear in person and bring along the following for your appointment:  

  1. CPF withdrawal form

    1. [Note: Please do not sign on the form as it has to be signed in the presence of a consular officer]

  2. Your old and current passports (Original)

  3. Singapore Identity Card (if available)

  4. Your original bankbook or statement if you wish to credit the CPF contributions to your bank account

  5. Other supporting documents as stated on the CPF withdrawal form (Original and a photocopy)
